We are carrying out research for our AS media coursework. We are creating a 2 minute film opening and the genre we have chosen is British Gangster. We have carried out some primary research but would like to do more, so please can you answer a couple of questions?
1) In a british gangster film where the characters are young, cheeky and mischeivious -like kidulthood- what costumes do you associate with them?
2)In a british gangster film where the characters are young, cheeky and mischeivious -like kidulthood- what do you expect their motives and personality to be?

We are creating a 2 minute 'brit gangster' film opening in a similar style to Kidulthood, but with similarities to films such as trainspotting and human traffic aswell. Any comments and ideas are appreciated!

1. Dark jeans or tracksuit bottoms. Hoodie/jacket of some sort. Branded trainers.

2. Personality; in control, tough, blunt, negative?, like having fast pace lifestyle.
1) guys: Tracksuit bottoms, and white trainers, although sometimes bright trainers, drawstring bag, polo top, hoody and baseball cap, mostly grey and blacks. Addidas, Nike, umbro ect.

2)Motives: to be known, revernge, drugs, money, sex and relationships
character traits :Selfish, not a care in the world, aggressive, greedy, extroverted, confident, loud and loyal

Clothes. Hoodies, tracksuits etc. Brands such as nike, adidas, puma, Mckenzie, Henleys, etc
Boys: Shaven heads, possibly with lines in short buzz cut, studs in each ear, high-top trainers.
Girls: pony tail or pig tails, hoop earrings, heavily made up
2. Personality? err Ha! Thuggish, violent, unnecessarily loud, uncouth, aggressive, pugnacious, boisterous, etc
Motives: predominantly respect due to thier lifestyle where cash and drugs are seen as things to be admired. Also to impress members of the opposite sex, and to gain kudos from peers. etc
